Project Overview
Client: Zelgor Games
Objective: Utilize 3D mesh tracking techniques to integrate dynamic artwork and animated media sequences directly onto branded apparel worn by live actors. This innovative approach allows for realistic deformation of graphics and visual effects as the clothing moves and folds, resulting in an immersive and visually cohesive representation of Zelgor Games’ brand and game content.
Scope of Work
3D Mesh Tracking and Integration:
Implemented advanced 3D mesh tracking algorithms to accurately map artwork onto clothing fabrics, accounting for natural folds, stretches and shifts in the material as the actor moves.
Achieved seamless blending of virtual elements, ensuring that logos, animations, and gameplay footage remained visually stable and realistic despite continuous motion.
Branding and Content Placement:
Incorporated the Noobs In Space logo, Zelgor Logo Invest animation, and select gameplay footage from the NoobTubes mobile game onto various apparel surfaces.
Applied motion graphics sequences that interacted naturally with the actor’s movements, enhancing storytelling and brand engagement.
Tools and Technologies:
Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator: Prepared high-quality, brand-consistent graphics and vector assets for integration.
Adobe After Effects with Mocha Pro: Utilized planar and mesh tracking capabilities to achieve precise tracking data for accurate compositing and alignment of visual elements.
Foundry Modo: Assisted in refining 3D geometry, lighting and texturing workflows to complement the tracking pipeline and ensure photorealistic finishes.
Outcome:
The resulting visual assets demonstrated a cutting-edge intersection of branding, motion design, and interactive media. By blending animated content directly onto moving garments, Zelgor Games could showcase their brand and products in a fresh, engaging manner—captivating audiences and setting a standard for immersive marketing experiences.
